Alison Doody
Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model since November 11, 1996. Alison Doody first made a feature film debut as an actress and Bond actress with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan is in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was asked by a photographer to model and started to take on the role of model. Doody then began to build a career of commercial modelling. Doody did not wear fashion, thongs and glamour in her modelling career. In 1985, following getting noticed by the casting directors of a James Bond new film, Doody took a small part of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was named as one the top twelve promising actors of the year in 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody, who was only 18 at the time she played Doody in the movie A Prayer to the Dying (1987), starring Mickey Rourke. Doody is the youngest Bond Girl to date. Another early movie was a small part in the role of IRA member Siobhan Donovan on A Prayer for the Dying (1987) that featured Mickey Rourke. Doody was a silent actor in a 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. The first time she played the lead in an episode from 1988 of the Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller in the role of Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She first appeared in the film Taffin with Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist and Nazi-sympathizer opposite Harrison Ford. In the film, she also appeared alongside Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody was a part of three actors who have portrayed James Bond. In the year 1991, Doody co-starred opposite Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the published fraud known as The Hitler Diaries. She then moved to Hollywood. The choice was made to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokeswoman for L'Oreal she went on to perform alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery the agent's girlfriend. Doody was a part of the 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony in recognition of an award. She was in the film together with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version of King Solomon's Mines. Doody made an appearance in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Doody was later a guest on the medical drama of RTE The Clinic and was set to be the lead actress in a remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx but the project ended up being cancelled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. She appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). In November she received the Almeria Tierra de Cinema Award as well as a star on Almeria's Walk of Fame.
