Aisha Hinds is an American actor best famous for her role in the television series The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut, she's shown her versatility by performing on series such as Under the Dome, 9-1-1 Detroit and 1-8-7. Her performance in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the first to catch her interest. Her role in the biographical movie All the Way as the women's right activist Fannie Lou Hammer was a major draw for the notice of the general public. Hind was also praised for her role as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's dramatic period drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the series for the third season. Hind has completed filming in the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is scheduled for release mid-2019. Her father Krishnaraj died in March 2017 after a lengthy stint as a scientist with the Indian Army. Vrinda, her mother is a housewife. There is an older brother Aditya Rai, who is a merchant navy engineer. The brother of Bachchan co-produced and wrote the film Dil Ka Rishta with their mother. In 2006, she came back to Bollywood with the hit film Dhoom: 2 before releasing Provoked: The True Story (2006). In April 2007 she married Abhishek Bachchan, a regular co-star, and child of Bollywood legendary Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage that reunited two of the most powerful Indian personalities.
